(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, accompanied with a ministerial team, on Saturday met with dignitaries and leaders of the Khaza'leh tribe in the Hayyan Al Meshref area of Mafraq Governorate and listened to their demands and needs as part of a government approach to reach out to citizens and local communities nationwide.
Ensour stressed the importance of Mafraq's location, as a transportation hub with roads to Syria in the north, Iraq in the east and Saudi Arabia in the south-east.
The primer underlined keenness of the government to realize development in the city, noting that Mafraq is a "hub for progress, prosperity and development".
He also pointed out to His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to launch projects in Mafraq in the agricultural, industrial, transportation and livestock production fields.
On efforts exerted to realize reform in the Kingdom, Ensour urged the attendees to seize the current opportunities to realize progress and achieve development.
A number of ministers outlined projects and plans of their ministries in Mafraq in various fields.
