China's industrial production increases 6.1 percent in August

(MENAFN) China's industrial output stretched 6.1 percent year on year in August, slightly surpassing last month's 6 percent.

This improvement was on the back of better performance in key industrial divisions and boosted growth in high-tech industries.

China uses the value of gross industrial output minus intermediate input, or the value-added industrial output to measure the final value of industrial production.

Moreover, only large Chinese firms' output with annual revenues of more than USD3.1 million is calculated from agencies like the National Bureau of Statistics.
