Samsung to sell USD420m worth of private jets


(MENAFN) In a move considered to be wise to dispose its assets that are less related to the business, South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. is trying to sell its private planes and helicopters estimated at USD420 million.

According to Samsung official's, the smartphone maker is negotiating a deal with Korean Air Lines Co. to sell two Boeing 737s and a Bombardier 700, plus six of the seven helicopters it owns to Korea Airport Service Co.

Samsung Group has been directing a restructuring through a number of mergers and sales of the key subsidiaries to streamline its complex ownership structure in preparation for the leadership transfer.
