Malaysian team reviews MMUP applications

DOHA: The Department of Information Systems yesterday received a delegation of the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Office of Malaysia. The two-day visit is intended for exchange of expertise and review of some advanced applications of the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning.

The Malaysian delegation attended presentations on the Ministry’s systems such as (Performance Tracking for the Directors – smart Office System – and the Minister’s Statistics Board). The delegation appreciated the systems used by the Ministry. Khalaf Ajlan Al Enzi Director of Information Systems Department presented mementos to the Malaysian delegation.

The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning had been awarded intellectual property rights for some unique systems developed exclusively for the Ministry which is deemed the first entity that had utilized and implemented it in its current technical shape.

In 2011 and 2012 the Ministry had launched services such as (Dlela Guide / Dlela Homes/ Dlela Meanings/ Dlela Lands) in addition to “Take & Send Photos) as part of the Municipality Application which is considered the first service application in Apple Store & Android applications of the regions’ ministries. The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning launched unique new services during the year 2013-2014 such as (Performance tracking monitors for the directors – Statistics Monitor for the Minister – and Tawkeed Online).

In 2015 the Ministry launched the (Smart Office) system through which all important data will be provided to the Directors and decision makers in the palm of their hands through their smart phones. All these systems emerged out of the traditional hypothetical techniques to a broader professional seven innovative horizons.
