(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 228.95 points or +2.00% Wednesday when it closed at 11,659.42 points.
The market capitalization jumped to QR 613.583 billion from QR 603.309 billion registered Tuesday.
The daily turnover jumped to QR 553.382 billion with a volume of 14,028,692 shares from 7,725 transactions compared with QR 313.53 million with a volume of 7,183,721 shares from 4,603 transactions on Tuesday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the green. Telecom index gained the most, up +3.92% to 978.76 points, transport +3.25% to 2,486.27 points, industries +2.37% to 3,542.88 points, banks and financial services gained +1.62% to 3,154.47 points.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE shares of 41 exchanged hands today. From these, 35 gained, three dropped and three remained unchanged.
