(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Uday Khimji International hosted Afitex International France at the Afitex Middle East Conference on Geosynthetics at the Crowne Plaza Muscat on Wednesday.
The focus of the conference was solutions to flooding in Oman. Representatives from the ROP Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources Muscat Municipality and various corporate houses attended the conference.
Johnny Khamisse general manage of Afitex Middle East said 'We have experiences in Africa Canada and Morocco and we like studying landscapes before proposing solutions. As we see Oman has the problem of frequent flooding when it rains which causes lot of destruction. Our drainage is based on Lymphea system where you can control the amount of water you need to drain.'
A representative from the Muscat Municipality said 'We have looked at the various presentations and we may be looking at this company for solutions as the rains have caused a havoc in the capital. There was a lot of destruction and we hope to fix the problems with such conferences.' Afitex specialises in drainage earth retaining and lining systems.
