Genel Energy gets second payment from Kurdistan


(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)Genel Energy (LON:GENL) has received a second payment in as many days from Kurdistan for oil exported by pipeline to Turkey. DNO the operator of the Tawke field in Iraq received a gross payment US$30mln of which Genel's share was US$8mln.  Taken with the Taq Taq export payment announced yesterday Genel's total September 2015 export payment is US$24.5mln it said. It is the first tranche of payments released from the semi-autonomous region of Iraq. Genel owns 44% and 25% respectively of the Taq Taq and Tawke fields. It expects to average net production of 90000 to 100000 barrels daily for 2015 and is one of the main oil exporters in the region alongside DNO. In August Tawke set a new production record with an average of 153346bopd in the second quarter. More than three quarters of Tawke's crude is exported. Taq Taq meanwhile produced an average of 128000 bopd through the first half of 2015 and more than 60% was supplied for export.
