Bangladesh's export surges 4.7 percent to USD5b

(MENAFN) Bangladesh saw its export revenue grow in the first two months of the current 2015-16 fiscal year by 4.7 percent to USD5.3 billion in comparison with USD5.1 billion in last year's same period.

Overall performance for exports in August was USD2.7 billion, which comes at a 27.7 percent higher as opposed to the same time frame in 2014, according to recent released data.

Moreover, figures still have more room to grow, as the demand for made in Bangladesh garment items have not begun to pick up yet, which have increased a slight 6 percent to USD4.4 billion in this fiscal year's first two months.
