Police officer martyred in bombing in southeast Turkey


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) A police officer was martyred and three others wounded in a bomb attack in Turkey’s southeastern province of Mardin on Tuesday local sources said.

The roadside blast in Dargecit is thought to have been detonated by PKK terrorists as an armored vehicle passed.

Meanwhile PKK terrorists opened fire on cars in Cizre Sirnak province. There were no casualties reported.

ThePKK- designated a terrorist organization by Turkey the U.S. and EU -renewed its armed campaign against the Turkish state in late July ending a fragile two-and-a-half year cease-fire.
