UAE- Rate of licenses renewal increase in H1 of 2015 says SEDD


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) announced that the rate of licenses renewal has increased through "Tasheel" service centers and SEDD e-services in the first half of 2015 to hit 70 per centout of the number of renewed licenses in the emirate.

The increase in licenses renewal confirms SEDD's success in shifting to e-services for procedures in order to complete transactions as soon as possible promote investment movement and attain sustainable economic development in Sharjah.

Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi Chairman of SEDD assured that the main goalof the Department's provision of different channels for its services is to attain a comprehensive improvement plan that promotes the sustainable economic development in Sharjah.

He added that the Department achieved great success in the first half of 2015 whereby the renewal of licenses in the emirate reached a growth rate of 70% in "Tasheel" and the Department's e-services. The number oflicenses that were renewed through these twochannels hit 69%in the first quarter of the year while it reached 71%of the total number of renewed icenses in Sharjah.T

The Chairman of SEDD asserted that the department provides many of its services through "Tasheel" service centers such as licenses renewal booking technical evaluation appointments initial registration of a new investor signboard permit payment of irregularities and fines as well as issuance and renewal of trade names.

Fahad Al Khamiri Deputy Director of Registration and Licensing Department stated that the partnership with the private sector in the completion of transactions was adopted by SEDD was successful at all levels. He emphasized that the Department seeks to access its services to the highest levels through such a partnership with "Tasheel" by the provision of distinctive qualitative services through multiple channels. He added that SEDD carries out number of extensive meetings between the concerned Departments from SEDD and "Tasheel" recently in order to launch a new package of services through these centers to provide services through them.

Al Khamiri pointed out that there is a large and a growing demand of the Department's services through the services centers whereby the issuance of trade names services reached 37% through "Tasheel" centers from the total number of the released onesin Sharjah in June 2015 while it did not exceed 10% in January of the same year. Also he called all investors to take advantage of such an opportunity to complete or carry on their transactions and procedures through the nearest "Tasheel" service centers at which most of the procedures that are carried there do not require a review from the Department.

The services have received wide acclaim among dealers who were satisfiedwith these serviceswhich helped in saving effort and time.
