Qatari Nakilat raises foreign ownership limit to 49 percent


(MENAFN) Qatari marine transport company Nakilat announced that it will increase foreigners' ownership limit to 49 percent, from an already-existing 25 percent.

An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the firm agreed to increase its non-Qatari ownership limit, among a number of changes to the company's Articles of Association.

Under the new decision, Qatari Governmental Institutions, non-for-profit organizations and Investment Funds can own up to five percent of share capital of the total company.

Nakilat is a Qatari marine transport company providing essential transportation link in the State of Qatar's LNG supply chain. Its LNG shipping fleet is the largest in the world, comprising 67 LNG vessels.
