Jordan, India discuss cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Imad Fakhoury, on Monday, discussed with India's Ambassador to Jordan, Anil Trigunayat, bilateral relations, especially in technical and development fields.

Fakhoury and the ambassador discussed challenges arising from the situation in the region and their negative effects on all sectors in the kingdom, noting the large numbers of Syrians refugees in Jordan.

The minister called upon the international community to continue supporting Jordan, to reduce the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis on the national economy.

Fakhoury praised the strong Jordanian- Indian ties, noting the Indian support of Jordan's efforts to sustain services to meet the needs of Syrian refugees.
