(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The first meeting of the legal work team of GCC legislative councils was held here today at Ritz Carlton Hotel.
The one-day meeting discussed preparation of a mechanism to enable the GCC Parliamentary Committee in the legislative field practice its functions in a clear and defined way through finding a legal track for the committee and to refer relevant results to the next meeting of the GCC Parliamentary Committee in the legislative field.
The meeting was requested by the GCC Parliamentary Committee, set up during the second meeting of heads of parliamentary councils in GCC states, held in Doha on last June 3 and 4.
