Vietnam to introduce 4G networks in 2015


(MENAFN) A group of Vietnamese telecom service suppliers are set to launch 4G service by the end of current year, such as Viettel, which is planning to build 23,000 transceiver stations, with 12,000 of them 4G.

Vinaphone, a major telecom company in the country, also announced to launch 4G service this year, and it's worth mentioning that some firms will require there customers to change SIM cards as the transfer occurs.

As far as 3G is concerned, it was first launched in Vietnam in 2009. As of June 2015, around 32 percent of the country's population have subscribed to 3G, which is a 29.6 percent growth year-on-year.
