UAE- DMI training programme paves way for media leaders of the future

DUBAI 8th September 2015 (WAM) -- Dubai Media Incorporated DMI the media organisation of the government of Dubai has wrapped up its seasonal university student training programme. The month-long programme provided hands-on training for a select group of 12 students across a variety of media disciplines at DMI including television and radio production writing and administrative duties.

Najla Al Balushi Director of Human Resources at DMI said "Since its inception DMI's media vision has always focused on quality and innovation. Our university student training programme provides hands-on learning for those interested in a career in media and immerses the students in an environment of creative and meaningful content production - with emphasis on the social and cultural lifestyles of the United Arab Emirates. After a month with DMI these students are now equipped with practical skills and an understanding of how employees in a busy company work and interact important learnings for when they finish studies and search for full-time employment."

"The tasks assigned to the students throughout the duration of DMI's training programme enabled them to work across a variety of departments and inspired them to become future media leaders. DMI aims to educate a new generation of Emirati media professionals who can lead creative developments in Dubai and the rest of the UAE and be at the vanguard of a new concept of innovative television media" added Al Balushi.

DMI said that the completion of this year's summer training programme had resulted in a fresh batch of budding media professionals who had come away from the course with a passion for ideas and creativity in the field of audio-visual and print media.
