SEC has also done away with the parallel evening education for adults. Students will be registered and will take examinations at the regular Independent schools. However the classes will be held at the evening Independent schools.

Students can attend lessons for the subjects they choose. If they fail to attend the classes regularly they will be prevented from attending further classes depending on the rate of absenteeism. However attending the classes will not be a prerequisite for appearing for the examinations.

SEC will distribute the students according to their geographical areas. There will be a maximum 250 students taking examinations in one independent school.

The adult education system is open to people aged above 18 years. Admission is restricted to Qataris residents born to Qatari mothers and other GCC citizens.

The first four years include literacy and primary education next three years middle school level and the last three years secondary level.
