Undersecretaries of GCC Justice Ministries Meeting Kicks Off in Doha


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The two-day 19th meeting of the GCC Justice Ministries' Undersecretaries began here Sunday at Sheraton Hotel Doha.

At the outset of the meeting, the Ministry of Justice Assistant Undersecretary of Legal Affairs Ibrahim Musa al-Hitmi, chair of the meeting, welcomed the GCC delegations ,saying that Qatar hosts the meeting after the Gulf integration has become indispensable priority in various fields to face difficulties and challenges so as to build a better future for our generations.

Al-Hitmi expressed his thanks and gratitude to the GCC Secretariat General , experts of the relevant committees that have contributed in preparation of draft laws and studies tabled before this meeting and the organizing committee.

For his part, HE Ambassador Hamad bin Rashid Al-Marri, Assistant Secretary-General for Legal Affairs affirmed a qualitative improvement to GCC Justice Ministries in areas of cooperation , which is evident through the topics on the agenda of the meeting.

He expressed his hope that greater achievements would be made in in the justice field to consolidate cooperation and support justice , legal and judicial integration so as to achieve the objectives of the blessed march of the GCC.

Al-Marri also expressed his hope that the meeting to reach to decisions and recommendations on its agenda topics to achieve an additional achievement for the previous achievements for interest of the GCC joint work , which will be submitted to the GCC Ministers of Justice at their next meeting in Doha.
