Jordan- Senate condoles Gulf Arab states over soldiers killed in Yemen


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Senate on Sunday offered its condolences and sympathies to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain over soldiers who were killed in the line of duty as part of the Saudi-led 'Operation Restore Hope' in Yemen.

In a statement, the Senate strongly condemned the killing of the troops as a "crime" and voiced its solidarity with and support for the Gulf states in the Arab coalition to "end the coup and restore the Yemini state".

It also said that Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, stands with the Arab countries in defending their security and stability, pledging that "Jordan will remain a staunch supporter of its nation and brethren in fending off any dangers that might threaten their security".

The Senate expressed its deep condolences "for the brothers and the families of the martyrs".
