'Hariri Killers' Set Up Abdally Cell 20 Kuwaitis Train In Hezb

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The wave of accusations against Iran intensified after the discovery of its destructive plot against Kuwait through the Abdally terrorist cell, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The pieces of evidence gathered, so far, revealed the Abdally terrorist cell is just the tip of the iceberg as the Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah have been planting such cells for years.

An unofficial Lebanese security source said the cell is part of a devilish plot, behind which is an octopus whose arms are extended towards various GCC and Arab countries. The Lebanese official, who requested anonymity, disclosed two Hezbollah members are amongst the suspects in the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri.

He added these Hezbollah members were sent to a number of GCC countries in March using fake passports to carry out a secret mission aimed at activating the cells of Hezbollah in these countries. This is in addition to linking these cells and plotting explosions and assassinations of a number of officials to destabilize GCC countries.

He explained the trips, which led to the discovery of Abdally cell, was monitored accidentally by a European intelligence system that noticed the two suspects in the assassination of Al-Hariri when they were at the airport of an Arab country in North Africa. However, the official refused to name the country.

He went on to say that the European intelligence system recognized the suspects through the pictures displayed at the airport when one of them left for Manama accompanied by three other persons who could be members of Abdally cell. Yet, the system did not inform Kuwait because it disclosed the suspects' identities only recently although it provided the American authorities with such information as part of the intelligence coordination between the two sides. He added the pictures taken by the European system were that of two Kuwaitis accompanying two members of Hezbollah in the departure hall of the Arab country's airport.

This raised doubts and many questions which later led to the discovery of Abdally cell. He revealed the security information in his hands confirms that 20 Kuwaitis, besides the Abdally cell members, have undergone intensive training since April on using weapons and missiles in locations affiliated to Lebanon's Hezbollah near Shamstar village in Al-Beqaa in the eastern part of Lebanon. He explained Hezbollah operates the training camp in this area under the supervision of two top officials and trainers from Iran's Revolutionary Guard; indicating the training course ended last August but the destination of the trainees, including the Kuwaitis, remains unknown. Furthermore, the Washington Times published a report yesterday stating that Iran spends billions of dollars to fill the pockets of terrorists in the Middle East including those in Yemen, Syria and Lebanon according to special report for the American administration supervised by Senator Mark Kirk.

The report mentioned Iran's annual expenditures for supporting terrorist groups, indicating that researchers estimated the annual allocation for Lebanese Hezbollah from $100 million to $200 million while the regime of Bashar al- Assad receives $5.3 billion to $15 billion every year. The report said Iran also spends about $12 million to $26 million to support Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria while it pays about $10 million to $20 million to support the Houthis in Yemen. Commenting on the issue, MP Mohammed Tana called for withdrawal of the citizenship of those proven to be involved in Abdally cell as they do not deserve to be part of this good country.
