Qatar- MEC conducts workshop for new staff


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has conducted a workshop for 21 employees who recently joined the Registration and Commercial Licences Department.
The four-week-long workshop, held at the ministry's headquarters, came as part of the MEC's efforts to create an ideal work environment and develop business registration and commercial licensing procedures to ensure that distinguished services were offered to the audience, according to a statement.
The workshop combined theoretical and practical training. The theoretical training included key topics such as the role of the ministry as well as the roles and prerogatives of the Registration and Commercial Licences Department and the services it offers.
It also featured a detailed explanation of some legal articles regulating registration and commercial licensing procedures, such as Law No 25 of 2005 and its amendments No 20 of 2014, Law No 5 of 2015 and Companies Law No 11 of 2015.
It also highlighted the department's nature of work and administrative procedures.
