Mourning tents across UAE swell with visitors


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)A sense of loss overwhelmed with pride in the martyrdom of 45 brave hearts prevailed upon Emirati households as the nation observed second day of mourning on Sunday.

Mourning tents were set up in different parts of the country to extend sympathy towards the families of the 45 martyrs of the ongoing Saudi-led Arab coalition's Operation Restore Hope in Yemen.

Also on Sunday the families of the dead servicemen continued receiving mourners and condolences from across the country - From common man to rulers and other officials visited mourning tents to express their solidarity with the families who lost their members during the mission to defend the legitimate government in Yemen.

Ajman

His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman has offered his condolences to the father and family of fallen serviceman Abdullah Khalifa Al Nuaimi on Sunday.

Shaikh Humaid accompanied by Shaikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Representative of the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Chairman of Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman and a number of senior officials paid their last respect to the Al Nuiami family during his visit to a tent set up for mourners in the Hilli area of Al Ain.

Meanwhile Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi the Crown Prince of Ajman has extended his condolences to the family of another martyr Saeed Obaid bin Fadil Al Ali.

Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department and a number of officials also offered condolences on the death of Saeed Obaid.

Umm Al Quwain

His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain and Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain offered their sincere condolences to the family of martyr Saeed Obeid Al Ali.

Ras Al Khaimah

Mourning tents were organised in Ras Al Khaimah for martyrs Al Shatti Abdullah Al Sayad Mohammed Ahmed Al Shehi Adel Saleh Al Shehi Abdullah Omar Al Jabri Ali Hussein Al Balouchi Yousef Abdullah Al Ali and Ali Hassan Al Shehi.

His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah; and Crown Prince Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi were among those who offered their condolences and prayers to the families of the martyrs.

Shaikh Saud and Shaikh Mohammed expressed their sympathies to the families of the martyrs during separate visits to mourning tents.

A number of shaikhs and senior officials accompanied Shaikh Saud while offering condolences to the families of martyrs.

Shaikhs ministers offer condolences

Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior also offered condolences to the families of the slain members of the UAE Armed Forces during his visits to the mourning tents organised in the emirate.

He visited the families of martyrs Mohammad Saeed Balsadriyah Al Khateri Rashid Mohammad Matar Al Mosafiri Obeid Saeed Rashid Al Mazroui Al Shatti Abdullah Al Sayad and Yousuf Abdullah Al Ali on Sunday. He has offered prayers to the families of the martyrs - all from the emirate of Abu Dhabi - Lt Abdullah Khalifa Matar Al Nuaimi; Mohammad Khaled Mohammad; Corporal Butti Aayel Misfer Al Ahbabi; Corporal Saad Mohammad Saleh Al Ahbabi and Sergeant Omar Rashid Al Meqbali on Saturday.

Also on Sunday Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi Minister of Development and International Cooperation and President of Zayed University has affirmed that the recent martyrdom of the brave soldiers paves the way to fulfill and uphold the values of the rights of the sisterly people of Yemen and to continue humanitarian work in that country.

In a speech on the martyrdom of the brave soldiers in Yemen Shaika Lubna said: "Today across the UAE we have prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the souls of the Emirati martyrs who fell in the line of their national duty and while taking part in the Arab Coalition's Operation Restoring Hope scarified their lives to uphold and restore the legitimacy in Yemen and defend the oppressed".

Messages from officials

Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Executive Council Member has offered his deepest condolences to The President Vice-President and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Rulers of other emirates and families of martyrs.

The Executive Council Member confirmed that martyrs of the nation drew the greatest meanings of courage and proved that the people of the UAE are ready to give their lives in defence of right saying "Today the feelings of sadness and pride are living in every Emirati house and we are confident that the armed forces in Yemen will achieve victory soon God willing".

He added "This honourable stance by the citizens of the UAE highlights that they are citizens who don't fear death to achieve the principles instilled in them by the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan".

Shaikh Abdullah bin Bayyah president of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies has extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the UAE leadership families of martyrs and Armed Forces personnel on the martyrdom of scores of UAE servicemen.

"With deep grief and sorrow the forum received the sad news of martyrdom of the heroic soldiers of peace and justice from the UAE in the battlefield. They provided the proof of steadfastness and courage when they led the way to gain the honour of martyrdom and the merit of honour in defence of the right while performing their national duty" the forum said in a mourning statement.
