GCC water and electricity ministers to meet in Doha

RIYADH 6th September 2015 (WAM) -- Qatar on Tuesday will host a meeting of the GCC Water and Electricity Co-operation Committee which will be held in Doha as part of the 28th GCC Ministerial Meeting.

The ministerial meeting will be preceded by a preparatory meeting of the GCC ministries' under-secretaries tomorrow Monday where they will discuss a number of important topics pertaining to water and electricity.

The General Secretariat is expected to submit recommendations of the previous meeting concerning the preparation of a draft of a comprehensive long-term strategy for water in the GCC countries and discuss enhancing co-operation in the field of water and electricity among other related issues.
