Oman- Four bodies recovered after rain, flash floods


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A man swept away in Muttrah was found alive while the body of a missing child was recovered in Rustaq on Saturday.

A child missing in Rustaq's Wadi Hoqain area after torrential rain on Friday has been found dead. The body was recovered late on Saturday evening.

Two women and two children from a family had been swept away by a strong current in the wadi. Three bodies were found on Friday after an extensive search operation involving teams from the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) and ROP the same day.

Search was suspended on Friday night and resumed the next day for the child. In Muttrah one of two persons missing has been found alive. In Al Khuwayr a man was rescued from a vehiclewhile in Al Mahaj in Amerat a family was rescued.

In Al Hamra's Wadi Gul a man stranded in his vehicle in a fast-flowing wadi was rescued by PACDA with help fromcitizens. In Sohar a family was rescued after their vehicle was stranded while crossing Wadi Halti.
