Kuwait to mark World Physical Therapy Day next week
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) As the world marks Word Physical Therapy Day on September 8, the Physical Therapy department at the Ministry of Health will hold many activities on this occasion.
The Physical Therapy department director Dr. Nabil Al-Hunaif told the press, on Saturday, that this year's activities' moto "I am, therefore; I can" highlights the important role of physical therapists' in helping people of special needs to be constructive individuals in their communities.
He added that this support can only be achieved through physical therapy and rehabilitation programs provided by hospitals and clinics. This year's activities will involve conducting three examinations for fitness, strength and balance, he pointed out.
Those who are interested to take those tests should visit their nearest physical therapy clinic on Tuesday, he stressed. World Physical Therapy Day is an opportunity for physical therapists from all over the world to raise awareness about the crucial contribution the profession makes to keeping people well, mobile, and independent.
