UAE- Homage paid to martyred Emirati soldiers


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)The Federal National Council (FNC) has mourned the 45 martyrs who died in the line of duty during 'Operation Restoring Hope'.

While offering sincere condolences to the families of martyrs and praying to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families the FNC said those great martyrs had been elevated to the highest ranks by offering precious sacrifice for the sake of the homeland and the Arab nation. By their heroism and bravery they have engraved their names in the annals of great men and heroes of the UAE and Arab-Islamic Nation" the FNC added in a statement.

"They will not only be remembered by the UAE but also by generations of Arabs for answering the call of duty in defence of Arab dignity" the FNC said. The Arab Republic of Egypt on Friday offered condolences to the government and people of the UAE on the death of 45 soldiers.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement also extended heartfelt sympathy to the families of martyrs and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant patience and fortitude to their families to bear their loss.

Dr Ahmed El Tayeb the Grand Imam of Al Azhar in Egypt has mourned the UAE martyrs. In a statement Egypt's renowned Islamic institution offered sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the UAE and to the families of martyrs.

Mohammed Al Haisami Permanent Representative of Yemen to the Arab League has also expressed his condolences to the leadership government and people of the UAE and the families of martyrs.

Speaker of the Arab Parliament Ahmed Mohammed Al Jarwan has paid homage to the UAE martyrs who died in the line of duty during 'Operation Restore Hope' under the Arab alliance to support the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.

Al Jarwan on behalf of the Arab people offered his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and rime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces armed forces personnel the martyrs' families and the UAE people.

"By answering the call of duty the UAE martyrs have engraved their names in the annals of Arab and Islamic history" he said praying to the Almighty Allah to grant their souls rest in Paradise and bestow patience and solace upon their families.

Awqaf pays tribute

The General Authority of Islamic Affairs And Endowments (Awqaf) has expressed its deep sympathy and condolences to the wise leadership the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces the UAE people and the families of martyrs on the martyrdom of 45 soldiers who died in the line of duty in the sake of Allah's and in support of the vulnerable fellow people of Yemen.

In a mourning statement issued Awqaf said "Our gallant martyrs raced to reach the most honourable ends...when they offered their pure blood in defence of the right so as to gain the highest degree of contentment and companionship of prophets in eternal paradise."

Dr Mohammed Matar Al Kaabi Chairman of Awqaf hailed the martyrs as "torches of right" who will light the path to our next generations.

He exhorted families of the martyrs to feel proud of their loved ones and maintain patience and fortitude so as to bear their loss.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy on the martyrs...and to protect the UAE soldiers in Yemen and bring them victory. - Wam
