German state bank KfW agrees to lend 200 million euros to Ukraine


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Moscow Dhu-AlQa'dah 19 1436 September 03 2015 SPA -- German state bank KfW signed a deal on Thursday to
lend 200 million euros to cash-strapped Ukraine Ukraine's Finance
Ministry said according to dpa.

The loan will directly support Ukraine's Deposit Guarantee Fund
responsible for reimbursing citizens for deposits in banks that go
out of business the ministry said in a statement.

"This agreement will give an opportunity to millions of ordinary
citizens to receive their deposits from problematic banks within the
state guaranteed limit and will also contribute to the recovery of
the banking system of our country" Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko
said in the statement.

Last week Ukraine secured an agreement with Western creditors to
restructure about 18 billion dollars of bonds paving the way for
possible additional funding from the International Monetary Fund
(IMF).
