Dubai Municipality discusses cooperation with counterparts in France

DUBAI 3rd September 2015 (WAM) ---- Hussein Nasser Lootah Director-General of Dubai Municipality has met with Michel Miraillet Ambassador of France and discussed the potentials of enhancing joint cooperation between Dubai Municipality and its counterparts in French cities in the presence of Majdi Abed French Consul-General to the UAE.

The visit comes in the framework of visits by diplomatic and consular corps and municipality members to discuss cooperation in the areas of municipal work and the exchange of experiences as well as to be briefed on the achievements of the municipal framework.

During the meeting Lootah praised the relations between French cities and Dubai as the latter has signed a twinning agreement with the French city of Lyon.

He wished the French delegation success and cooperation in the field of city planning and e-services project management and other services provided by the municipality to the community noting that the Dubai Municipality is willing to offer its experiences and best practice and expertise in various fields.

For his part the French ambassador praised the remarkable development being witnessed by Dubai and its good reputation and distinctive relations with various cities in the world which is evidence of the municipality's pursuit to strengthen its cooperation with the world's cities.

At the end of the meeting the two sides stressed the importance exchanging visits points of views and opinions between the municipality and Consulate to aid in achieving the strengthening of ties between Dubai and French cities.
