(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Ambassador to Mexico Samih Hayat met Wednesday with the newly appointed Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Claudia Ruiz Massieu, Kuwaiti embassy said.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed "solid" friendship relations between Kuwait and Mexico, as well as ways to bolster them in various fields to which serves mutual interests, the embassy said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Hayat conveyed congratulations of Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Secretary Massieu on the occasion of taking her new post, wishing her, Mexican leadership, government, and people further progress and development.
For her part, the Mexican Secretary expressed gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's friendly and true sentiments towards her country's leadership, government, and people, wishing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah long lasting good health and happiness, and further progress and prosperity for Kuwait's government and people.
