2745 Egyptians present candidacy paper for parl't elections in one day


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The High Elections Commission in Egypt announced on Wednesday that 2745 candidates presented their candidacy papers for the upcoming parliamentary election yesterday.
The commission's official spokesman Amr Marwan in a statement today called on people who want to run for the elections to conduct the required medical tests and checkups before the candidacy period ends on September 12 at 12 p.m.
Meanwhile, Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri appointed his assistant Ambassador Hamdy Sanad Luza chairman of the committee responsible for the Egyptians abroad voting for the upcoming elections.
Shoukri instructed the diplomatic missions abroad to abide by neutralism in the electoral process and work in forming the subsidiary committees in charge of the voting of Egyptian in a total of 139 countries.
