Qatar Exchange index gains 128.72 points this week

DOHA: Qatar Exchange index gained 128.72 points or 1.08 percent this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 12009.54 points.

Trading value during this week decreased by 27.29 percent to reach QR720376575.54 compared to QR990769976.25.

Trading volume decreased by 15.42 percent to reach 17711935 shares as against 20941539 shares while the number of transactions fell by 3.86 percent to reach 11493 transactions as compared to 11954 transactions.

Market capitalization rose by 0.70 percent to reach QR636557515340.33 as compared to QR632154061464.45 at the end of previous week.

Real Estate sector led traded value this week with 32.58 percent of the total traded value. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 25.06 percent. Industries sector accounted for 24.57 percent and Telecoms sector accounted 5.90 percent.

Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 47.68 percent of the total traded volume. Industries sector accounted for 18.44 percent. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 15.54 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 8.87 percent.

Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week with 27.94 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 26.92 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 23.70 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 8.14 percent.

From the 43 listed companies 32 ended this week higher while 10 fell and one unchanged.

Barwa Real Estate led traded value during this week accounted for 16.76 percent of the total traded value. Ezdan Holding Group accounted for 12.36 percent and Gulf International Services accounted for 10 percent .
