Qatari bourse closes 1.28pc lower; market cap declines by QR5.16bn

DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 148.47 points or 1.28 percent on Tuesday when it closed at 11415.09 points.

The market capitalization declined by QR5.16bn to QR602.91bn from QR608.07bn registered Monday.

The daily turnover declined to QR 407.66m with a volume of 9172013 shares from 5417 transactions from QR981.56m with a volume of 25735651 shares from 7039 transactions.

Indices of all sectors ended the day in the red with telecoms index dropping the most by 3.69 percent to 928.4 points reports QNA.

From the 43 companies listed on QSE shares of 41 exchanged hands today. From these 31 dropped nine gained and one remained unchanged.
