Peru stocks lower at close of trade S&P Lima General down 1.34%


(MENAFN- FxPro) Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Food&Beverages and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.34%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 0.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) added 4.44% or 0.200 points to end at 4.700 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 3.85% or 0.005 points to 0.135 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which fell 5.41% or 0.220 points to trade at 3.850 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) declined 4.09% or 1.10 points to end at 25.80 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 3.81% or 0.240 points to 6.060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) fell to 3-years lows; losing 5.41% or 0.220 to 3.850.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 7.91% or 3.89 to $45.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 8.65% or 4.68 to hit $49.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.63% or 7.10 to trade at $1139.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.38% to 3.2388, while EUR/PEN rose 0.88% to 3.6482.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.61% at 95.38.
