Saudi- Prince Alwaleed Hawke discuss investment opportunities
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received former Australian PM Bob Hawke at his office in Riyadh.
The meeting was attended by Heba Fatani senior executive manager corporate communications department; Hassna Alturki executive manager for international relations to the chairman; Fahad bin Nafil senior executive assistant; and Ahmad Altobaishi executive assistant to the chairman and from Alwaleed Philanthropies Princess Lamia Bint Majed Alsaud executive manager of media and communication attended.
During the meeting the two touched upon the latest regional and international developments on the social and economic front and they discussed investment opportunities in Australia.
Moreover Hawke was keen on listening to the prince's views and pointed out that the prince is well known for his significant and successful projects as he has a special vision for future potential investments where Australia may benefit from.
The prince's investments in Australia through KHC include investments in the banking sector through Citigroup the hospitality sector through Four Seasons and Swissotel and via the media sector through 21st Century Fox.
In 2014 Prince Alwaleed received Australian Minister of Trade and Investment Andrew Robb and an accompanying delegation.
In 2012 Prince Alwaleed was awarded an honorary doctorate in law honoris causa from the University of Monash Australia. The honorary doctorate was awarded to the prince by Chancellor Alan Finkel at a ceremony held at the Kingdom Resort in Riyadh.
The prince was honored for his significant influence on economic and social development in addition to his support for cultural studies.
In 2009 Prince Alwaleed received Stephen Smith MP and Australian minister of foreign affairs and an accompanying delegation. The prince hosted a dinner in honor of his guest at Kingdom Resort.
In 2007 Prince Alwaleed received an Australian parliamentary delegation headed by the Peter Slipper MP and on another occasion the prince received an Australian businesswomen's delegation headed by Fiona Hill.
