UAE participates in Arab League extraordinary meeting

CAIRO 1st Sept. 2015 (WAM)The UAE participated today in the Arab League's extraordinary meeting at the level of permanent representatives which was held in the General Secretariat of the Arab League to discuss a draft resolution concerning the Arab League's offices and delegations.

The meeting was chaired by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al Araby.

Assistant Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs Dr. Abdul Rahim Yousef Al Awadi represented the UAE at the meeting.

The meeting which was held at the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia deliberated a draft resolution concerning the Arab League's offices and delegations aiming to develop them.

The draft is to be submitted to Meeting 144 of the Arab League Council at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs which is going to be held on 13th September.
