IFAD President praises UAE's humanitarian initiatives

ROME 1st Sept. 2015 (WAM)The UAE Ambassador to Italy Saqr Nasser Al Raesi met in Rome today with the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Kanayo F. Nwanze.

Nwanze praised the pioneering role of the UAE in the humanitarian fields and thanked the country for the generous contributions offered to the needy and to the people affected by disasters around the world.

The meeting explored avenues of co-operation between the UAE and IFAD in the areas of agricultural development food security training and other development issues.
