Suicide attack kills 6, wounds over 30 in N. Pakistan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least six people were killed and over 30 others wounded when a suicide bomber struck outside a local government office in Pakistan's northern Khyber Agency on Tuesday, said officials.
The Political Agent of Khyber tribal area, Shahab Ali Shah told media that at least six people were killed and 31 others were wounded after a suicide bomber detonated himself at the entrance of his office in Jamrud area of Khyber.
There were four tribal policemen among the dead and more than 15 personnel were wounded, four of them critically, he added. According to security officials, the death toll is feared to rise.
Khyber Agency is one of Pakistan's seven semi-autonomous regions governed by tribal laws and bordering Afghanistan. The suicide blast came at a time when comprehensive military operation against the foreign and local militants in tribal regions of Pakistan has entered its final phase.
