Israeli forces conduct wide military operation in Jenin
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli occupation forces late Sunday conducted a wide military operation in the West Bank of Jenin and its refugee camp.
During the operation, which continued until Tuesday dawn, violent clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces, leaving a number of the citizens injured and others arrested.
The Mayor of Jenin, Ibrahim Ramadan, said that Israeli forces, backed by around 40 military vehicles and bulldozers, stormed the city and its camp from various directions, noting that Israeli soldiers used bullets and stun grenades against Palestinians.
He stressed that Palestinian resistance men foiled an Israeli commandos operation in Jenin refugee camp after violent clashes between the two sides, noting that five citizens were suffocated by the Israeli tear gas canisters.
