DUBAI 1st September 2015 (WAM) -- Ahead of the start of their autumn term the University of Wollongong in Dubai UOWD has highlighted key Master's programmes that will groom students to compete successfully in Dubai's competitive job market in the run-up to Expo2020.

With opportunities in sectors linked to delivery and legacy plans for Expo2020 UOWD says that four of their Master's programmes in particular will help candidates get ahead in the competitive job openings which are attracting applicants from across the globe. Recruiters and HR departments are already focusing on the unique skill-sets and qualifications that candidates will need in order to be successful in landing one of the 275000 jobs that are being created to service the event.

Over the next five years Dubai will place increased demand on integrated and highly scalable logistics suppliers who can rapidly adapt themselves to support changing market conditions. UOWD's Master of Science in Logistics programme has recently been commended by the Supply Chain and Transport Awards for preparing students with the knowledge skills and expertise that they need to effectively design and manage the supply chain and logistics operations in one of the busiest hubs in the world.

Second amongst the University's top picks for Expo2020 success is their Master of Quality Management programme. The university believes that this programme will be extremely beneficial to candidates that want to harness the skill set to guarantee that Expo2020 builds and maintains a desired level of excellence. Introduced in Dubai in 1996 in association with the Dubai Quality Group DQG UOWD is the only university in the region to offer the programme.

With 25 million visitors from across the globe expected over the course of Expo2020 UOWD's Master of International Business Degree and Master of Strategic Marketing Degree will also place students in an ideal position to make the most of the international opportunities the Expo will offer and help them to fast-track their career the university contends.

Finally as recruitment activities continue to ramp up the Master of Strategic Human Resource Management programmes will help HR professionals make informed decisions on the staffing issues that Expo2020 might bring about and teach the skills needed to attract world-class candidates to their organisations.
