Dhaka names envoy to Qatar


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) he government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday appointed Ashud Ahmed as the next Bangladesh ambassador to Qatar. Ahmed, a career diplomat, belongs to the 13th batch of Bangladesh civil service (foreign affairs) cadre, and is currently working as director general (South East Asia) at the foreign ministry. In his diplomatic career, Ashud Ahmed served at Bangladesh consulate general in New York, Colombo, Brussels and Hong Kong in different capacities, according to a foreign ministry media release.
