Medicaid Cuts Concern for Parents of Reduced Therapy Coverage

Los Angeles California – August 29 2015 – With the recent cuts to Medicaid parents are concerned over possible reduced therapy coverage. Many parents at the Neurological and Physical Abilitation Center (NAPA) are aware of how their child’s therapy is a key component in helping them function at a higher level than expected.

At the Napa Center parents have seen their children achieve goals and make sustainable progress in ways they never thought attainable. Think what these changes could mean to the children who are unable to overcome the challenges of their disabilities.

Medicaid is required to cover certain “mandatory benefits” and can choose to provide other “optional benefits”. Physical and occupational therapies fall under the “optional benefits” category.

These therapy sessions are necessary to continue to give the children the best possible chance to achieve continued progress in their development. Each client’s customized therapy plan addresses their specific needs at different stages of their development and is often timed to coincide with the client’s growth and developmental spurts.  NAPA’s goal is to help each individual achieve results quickly so their therapy can continue to advance them to the next level.

Unfortunately cuts to Medicaid  will have a huge impact on the families’ quality of life and will require rehabilitation clinics such as NAPA to pull back on their services. There will not be anyone to take on the therapy tasks so that parents can have time to do other things. Such cutbacks will sadly affect those who truly need the therapy. Ultimately public schools will be burdened with the children who are unable to receive the care they needed in their formative years.

NAPA is proud to say that astounding results have been achieved with these customized therapy plans.

NAPA was founded in 2008 by Lynette LaScala. The NAPA center provides both traditional and non-traditional therapies from around the world to both children and adults. Some of the therapies include traditional physical occupational and speech therapies. NAPA therapists travel the world to be trained in the most unique and state of the art techniques. They are proud to say that the results they have seen with their therapies have been astounding.

That is why NAPA is a step above the rest. Contact them today to find out why they are a world renowned neurological and center.
