Austin Reed Launches First Kuwait Store

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Austin Reed is pleased to announce the opening of its first store in Kuwait. The 724 sq ft store which is situated within the Marina Mall, houses the latest AW15 womenswear and childrenswear collections. The Austin Reed brand has taken its impeccable heritage and reputation as a British tailor and extended its values into a casual wear range inspired by the timeless concept of British rowing made to the highest quality with particular attention to detail.

Founded by Austin Leonard Reed in London in 1900, Austin Reed is a leading British clothing brand with an international reputation for sartorial excellence and customer care. With a longstanding heritage in impeccable tailoring and uncompromising quality, Austin Reed was the first menswear retailer to craft ready-to-wear clothes with the same level of expertise as made-to-measure.

Granted two Royal Warrants, Austin Reed is an official clothier to HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince of Wales. Royal Warrants are a mark of recognition of those who have supplied goods or services for at least five years to the Households of HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales, and are highly prized, having always been regarded as demonstrating service, quality and excellence.

The first Austin Reed branded store was established on Fenchurch Street, with a larger flagship store opening in 1911 at 113 Regent Street. In 2011 the London Flagship store relocated a few steps across the street to 100 Regent Street, reigniting the spirit of British heritage tailoring, transforming the retail landscape on Regent Street with a new store and a new retail concept. Whilst taking a nostalgic retrospective of Austin Reed's 115 year history, the new store brings British tailoring and apparel into the future.

International expansion began in 1929 when Austin Reed opened a concession store on the transatlantic liner, Aquitania, reflecting the extent to which the company had established itself as the UK's premier menswear retailer. This was followed by concessions on two ships, the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, in 1936 and 1946 respectively. Further international expansion came in the 1960s, when the first trademark license was signed in the USA. Today, Austin Reed operates a successful, global business with a network of highly-established licensing partners in Europe, North and South America, India and Asia.

A prestigious international lifestyle brand, synonymous with superb British style, Austin Reed offers its customers discerning choice, a touch of class.
