Oman's Salalah Mills to spend USD17.3m in new flour mill

(MENAFN) Oman's Salalah Mills intends to invest USD17.3 million in constructing a new flour mill with a production capacity of 600 metric tons per day, according to latest released data.

This huge investment is set to relocate the firm as the largest flour mill in the Sultanate, and as the CEO stressed, this project comes to exploit the company's earlier investment in increasing grain storage capacity in the Port of Salalah.

The current production capacity of Salalah Mills Company is 1,500 metric tons per day. The company reached 94 percent capacity operation last year and 100 percent utilization in the first half of 2015.
