(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)Gargash Enterprises sees bright outlook for luxury vehicles in the UAE and will launch three new premium SUV models later this year its senior official says.
Karl-Johan Sandesjo general manager Gargash Enterprises said three new models of Sport Utility Vehicle or (SUV) - the GLE Coupe GLC and the C 45 AMG Sports are expected to stir the automotive market and will help sustain the positive trend in second half of this year. He said Gargash Enterprises sold a considerably outstanding figure of 4000 units of passenger cars in the first half of 2015 recording a 15 per cent increase compared to the same period last year and a 16 per cent increase in the AMG car segment. "We believe demand for luxury vehicles is still on the rise and expect more sales in the next quarter with the launch of the GLE 63 Coupe and the C45 AMG Sports car" Sandesjo told Khaleej Times in an interview. Attributing the outstanding sales performance in 2015 first half to the launch of three new models - CLA GLA and AMG GT. "We are pleased to see double-digit growth figures in the first half of 2015 as we had envisioned and hope to keep the momentum going. Keeping our focus on customer satisfaction has helped us attain the support and loyalty of our customers thereby achieving organisational goals. "We have unveiled three new models of Mercedes-Benz cars earlier this year. These include the CLA GLA and the AMG GT. As the second half unfolds the plan is to continue to maintain this good momentum by launching three new premium SUV models. The cars earmarked to be released are the GLE Coupe GLC and the C 45 AMG Sports." Furthermore he said the Dubai International Motor Show is coming up in November. "This event will boost sales for all automotive dealers during that period and we too are looking forward to being a part of it." To a question he said customers are keen to see fully-loaded vehicles inclusive of all entertainment features. About introducing electric hybrid and green technology in luxury car segment he said: "Mercedes-Benz Hybrid vehicles are available on special order for our customers... no electric vehicles are planned yet to be ordered for our region. However I am sure soon we will have such cars introduced." Regarding growing dependence on software computer programming and apps in new automobile models and luxury car segment he said: "I believe this trend very much exists already even in luxury car segments. The brand Mercedes-Benz is synonymous with innovation. It is a highly-technologized premium automotive brand with the most world firsts." About new initiatives to boost online services and sales he said online buying started years back and it is a trend that continues to grow due to the increasing usage and dependency on smartphone technology. "In today's world many of our customers book their test drives and service bookings online and post their requests on our social media pages. A large number prefers now to communicate with the dealership via social media and phone applications. "We are very active online and through our social media network. Our Mercedes-Benz Dubai Facebook page has reached 86000 fans and still growing" he said. He said Gargash Enterprises is positive of further growth in 2015 and continues to serve its customers with the latest technology feeding their appetite for innovation.
