(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) By hitting and struggling with an IDF soldier, Palestinians in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh on Friday prevented the arrest of a Palestinian boy who was accused of stone-throwing.
In a video capturing the struggle, the IDF soldier is seen under attack by a group of women until a fellow soldier arrives at the scene to help fend them off.
The IDF spokesperson said the arrest of the boy came after he was identified as a stone-thrower in a violent disturbance against soldiers who were in the area.
The commander of the unit decided not to carry out the arrest due to the disturbance that broke out at the time of the attempted apprehension, the IDF spokesperson said.
The soldier under attack in the video sustained minor bruising, the army said.
