Israel Arrests 3 Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem, Summons Others for Interrogation

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Israeli army and police forces Sunday detained three Palestinians from the West Bank city of Ramallah, including Jerusalem. Two other Palestinians from Bethlehem were summoned for interrogation, according to local and security sources.

Israeli police detained two Palestinian youths in the town of al-Issawiyeh, in central Jerusalem, and led them to an unknown destination. To be noted, the town of Issawyieh is a scene of constant clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian locals; only last week, Israeli forces blocked the main entrances leading to the town with cement blocks and earth mounds as a punitive measure against locals.

Meanwhile, army forces detained 15-year-old Hamza Hammad after raiding and wreaking havoc into his family's home in the town of Silwad to the east of Ramallah, reported his mother.

The mother said that a large military force raided their home, accompanied with police dogs, in the pre dawn hours after breaking down the house's main door. She said that forces kept Hamza in one room, while locking his 10-year-old brother, Bilal, in the bathroom, where he was interrogated and threatened by the forces.

Forces further seized their personal cellular phones and destroyed their Computer. The mother said that forces even confiscated the children toys, which she later found scattered around the house and broken.

To be noted, Hamza is the son of prisoner Mo'ayad Hammad, who has been incarcerated in Israeli jails for the past 13 years and is sentenced to seven life imprisonment. In the meantime, forces handed two Palestinians from the Bethlehem area notices ordering them to appear before the Israeli intelligence for interrogation.
