(MENAFN- QNA) Thailand police are investigating to ascertain the identity of a suspect arrested in the Erawan shrine bombing case.
The arrested suspect holds a counterfeit Turkish passport.
Police spokesman Pol Lt Gen-Prawut Thavornsiri expressed confidence that arrested man was indeed involved in the two recent bombings, but may not have planted either of them.
Police are working with a translator to find out the identity and nationality of the arrested suspect, he said.
A Bangkok Post report says phone records played a big role in yesterday's arrest.
