Japan's jobless rate lower at 3.3 percent in July


(MENAFN) Japan witnessed a slight improvement in its unemployment rate in July hitting 3.3 percent compared to 3.4 percent a month earlier.

The number of people leaving their jobs involuntarily declined 4.7 percent to 610,000, which is the lowest since 2002, based on a preliminary report.

In more detail, the jobless rate for men was reduced 0.1 percentage point to 3.5 percent; however, women's rate saw a 0.1 point rise to hit 3.2 percent.

Simultaneously, different data released from the welfare ministry declared that 121 positions were available for every 100 job seekers during July.
