Saudi- Agriculture Ministry lifts ban on equine import from Kuwait


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh Dhul-AlQa'dah 12 1436 H August 27 2015 SPA -- The Ministry of Agriculture has lifted the ban on the importation of equines (horses mules donkeys) from the State of Kuwait based on the final reports and recommendations of the Saudi technical team which visited Kuwait for being briefed on the health situation and veterinary study of the possibility of opening import of equines.
The Ministry has set import requirements including the need for the quarantine of the horse to be exported to the Kingdom for (30) days in a special quarantine for equine species requirements agreed upon with the Kuwaiti side as well as the application of veterinary health measures referred to in the veterinary health certificate.
