Lawn Sale Shoppers Delight in Fly Creek Sale Day this Saturday
FLY CREEK NY – The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard will host its 22nd Annual Antique Engine Show Saturday and Sunday August 29 & 30. Single-cylinder gas engine enthusiasts around the region will join together in displaying their prized antiques from the early 1900’s. At press-time multiple displays are registered ranging from small 2 hp. power plants to marine engines. These impressive machines will be demonstrated thought the show. The Engine Show will be held rain or shine both days from 10:00 until 4:00. Admission and parking are free.
On Saturday-only the Mill will hold its annual inventory-reduction tent sale in conjunction with the very popular Fly Creek Community Day area-wide lawn sales. Fly Creek Valley will bustle with over 50 lawn sales shows and special events. Saturday morning starts with an “all-you-can-eat” pancake breakfast served at the Fly Creek Fire Hall from 7:30 – 11:00. Tired and hungry shoppers can refresh themselves at the Fly Creek Cider Mill’s Snack Barn or at the Grange Hall where the Fly Creek Area Historical Society will serve lunch starting at 11:00. The Fly Creek Methodist Church will hold a bake sale in addition to a large tag sale at the Church.
Visitors for all events are encouraged to register at the Grange Hall and receive a map of the participating sales designated by orange balloons. For more information these events visit the Mill’s website at .
