"The launch of the initiative comes in conjunction with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's order declaring November 30th every year to be observed as "Martyr's Day". This comes in memory of and in tribute to the sacrifices offered by the nation's martyrs and its loyal people who offered their lives so as to keep the UAE flag flying aloft while they were performing their national duties within and outside the country in civilian military and humanitarian fields" said Saif Al Kaabi Chief Executive Officer International Golden Group in a speech which was delivered on his behalf by Imad Erekat the Group's Assistant CEO.

The speech continued "We seek to reach families of our heroic martyrs and provide all forms of support and assistance to them. We strive for the good of our nation. It is really important to honour those who lost their loved ones and mitigate them in times of grief. Our wise leaders of the United Arab Emirates stood next to those families held their hands and raised their heads high to be proud of such brave martyrs."

Media representative Manal Ahmed who came up with th initiative said during the ceremony "We are gathered today to honour the memory of the young people of this great land to tell the world that the United Arab Emirates shares with other nations grief and pain for losing precious sons to serve justice. We all came today to those parents and hold their hands as their children look upon them with respect and honour".
